The model
Lean production. AI augmentation. Prestige first.
The name is the thesis. We're interested in the blur — the place where technology stops being a tool and starts being a character.
HUMN is a new-age production company that fuses the lean, prestige-driven model of A24 and Neon with a proprietary AI platform designed to augment — never replace — the human creative process.
We make stories that feel lived-in and dangerous. Stories that linger in the quiet spaces between people. Stories that ask what it still means to be human when the machine is already in the room.
Our proprietary AI platform sits beneath the process like quiet infrastructure: it speeds decisions, expands possibility, and keeps the human at the center of every frame.
01
Lean Production
Fewer voices. Sharper vision.
Most of the industry is either terrified of AI or using it to make more of the same, faster. We use it to protect the instinct, the taste. The result is leaner, sharper, and unmistakably made by people.
02
AI Augmentation
Tools that serve story, not the other way around.
HUMN. Human with the machine already inside. We're interested in the blur — the place where technology stops being a tool and starts being a character, a threat, a companion, a mirror.
03
Prestige First
Every project built to last.
Humor that arrives sideways. Tension that never fully resolves. A camera that watches more than it judges. Prestige projects that still feel handmade.
The slate
Atmospheric Horror. Dark Comedy. Psychological & Crime Thrillers.

Feature · Development
Meemaw
After a string of unsolved grisly murders, a local town sheriff in 1988 West Texas receives a comical confession from the most unlikely source: the small town’s stately (and confused) grandmother.
Some grandmas bake pies. Others bury secrets. A Coen Brothers style Southern dark comedy neo-noir. Themes of: loneliness and memory loss, Americana and decay, the invisibility of aging women, and violence beneath politeness. Actor showcase.
The team
Three people. One voice.
A small team. A clear voice. No hierarchy between the idea and the frame.

Mike Ross
